Termite Treatment & Elimination in Cleveland County, NC
An active termite colony won't stop growing until it's eliminated. H&H offers both liquid soil treatments and Sentricon bait station systems to kill existing colonies and protect your home from future infestations.
Signs of Active Termite Infestation
Live termites visible in wood, soil, or on the structure
Mud tubes running from the soil to wood — the transit highway for subterranean termites
Swarmers (winged termites) emerging from the soil or structure, usually in spring
Hollow, papery-sounding wood when tapped
Damaged or collapsed wood with galleries (tunnels) running parallel to the grain
Frass (droppings) from drywood termites — tiny, pellet-shaped, wood-colored
Unexplained structural settling, sticking doors, or sagging floors
Bubbled, cracked, or distorted paint over affected wood

Inspection & Assessment
We perform a full inspection to map the extent of infestation, identify entry points, and assess structural damage. This determines which treatment method is most appropriate for your structure and the severity of the infestation.
Liquid Soil Treatment
We trench around the foundation and inject a termiticide (Termidor or equivalent) into the soil. This creates a continuous treated zone that kills termites on contact and spreads through the colony via transfer effect. Highly effective for active, established infestations.
Sentricon Bait Station System
Sentricon bait stations are installed in the soil around the perimeter of the structure. Termites find the bait naturally and recruit colony members to feed on it. The active ingredient — a chitin synthesis inhibitor — prevents termites from molting, collapsing the colony. Sentricon is less disruptive than liquid treatment and provides ongoing monitoring.
Treatment Documentation & Warranty
We issue a treatment certificate and recommend annual inspection as part of ongoing monitoring. We provide warranty documentation and schedule your first annual follow-up inspection.
Why Termite Treatment Requires a Licensed Professional
Termite treatment involves applying restricted-use pesticides to the soil around and beneath a structure's foundation — a process that requires a licensed pesticide applicator. The application must create an uninterrupted chemical barrier around the entire structure; any gaps allow re-entry. This requires professional-grade equipment, product knowledge, and experience with NC soil conditions.
DIY termite products available at hardware stores are retail-grade products that cannot penetrate soil at the concentration and depth required to create a continuous treated zone. They provide minimal protection against established subterranean termite colonies.
