How much does it cost to get rid of roaches?
Our programs are geared to the individual situation. We like to start all of our services on a monthly basis to be sure we don’t run into any surprise infestation that the customer may not have been aware of. But, we offer quarterly services and one-time services as well. Call for pricing and an explanation of how our treatments are designed to work in your particular situation.
Why do I have roaches, I am a good housekeeper?
Developing a roach infestation is not an indication of housekeeping or hygiene, although those can be contributing factors in keeping roaches. All it takes is to bring in one pregnant female in a grocery bag, a used appliance, or items that have been in storage to start an infestation. Common ways roaches come into your home are by way of guests and children. Your guests can bring them from home, and children can bring them from school.
How do I know if it is a termite or an ant?
The difference can be confusing, especially in the spring when it could be either. Certain ants have swarmer members too. Ants have definite body parts (head, thorax, and abdomen with a pinched waist). Termites are about ½“ long, and the separate body parts are not as distinguishable (they are more uniform in width like your finger). In addition, termites have two pairs of wings that are the same length while ants have two pairs of different length. An ant’s antennae are bent while the termite’s are straight. And, while swarmer termites are not the destructive members of the colony, they are an indication of termite activity. We recommend taking advantage of our free inspection if you see swarmers.

Should I really make a big deal out of having termites?
Every year, termites damage property more than fire, earthquakes and tornados combined.

If it's raining, shouldn't I cancel my appointment for today? Not at all. Some of the products we use actually rely on the rain to
activate them, so a bit of water is necessary for us to do our job,
especially around the perimeter of your home or business. If you're
concerned about your floors, our technicians do not mind removing their
shoes (even when the weather is good) to help maintain the cleanliness
or appearance of your floors. If you feel that the rain will just wash
our products away, consider that even in a moderate rain, the eaves of
your house prevent the rain water from soaking the ground right against
the house, and that is where we treat with liquid product.
Are the products you use safe for use in my home or business?
Yes. The products we use all have labels that mandate how a product
is used, where it is used, how it is mixed, stored, and disposed of. The
Environmental Protection Agency determines a product's usability. We are
able to use many of our products in multiple situations, including
schools, day cares, restaurants, hospitals, veterinary hospitals. And we
give your premises the same consideration we give those areas by using
products that are approved for use in those places as well.
I have my home under contract with you for termites. What exactly is
the renewal and why should I keep it?
The Annual Renewal, as we call it, is the process by which we
continue to offer you a warranty on termite work we have done to your
home at a prior time. We renew this warranty on an annual basis, mostly
because, as part of the process, we want to inspect the areas we have
treated and make sure there is no current concern. At the same time, we
are also looking for evidence of high moisture (which can be conducive
to termite activity) and other conducive conditions such as insulation
in the crawlspace that has fallen, or other cellulose debris on the
ground. Since a lot of people don't regularly go into their crawlspaces
themselves, this allows us to report on possible other situations that
may concern a homeowner such as fallen ductwork, plumbing leaks, broken
foundation vents, etc.
In that way, it's a value-added service since some of these situations
can affect the warranty itself if not corrected. |
